Send Letters from Abroad Online, Without a Post Office

Print and Mail Company lets you send a real paper letter to any country from wherever you are: you upload a PDF, and we print it in Luxembourg and hand it to POST Luxembourg for delivery. It is useful for expats, travellers, cross-border workers and digital nomads who need to post something but have no printer, stamps or post office nearby.

Who sends letters from abroad with us

  • Expats dealing with paperwork in their home country: tax offices, banks, pension funds, insurers, landlords, cancellations.
  • Cross-border workers in Luxembourg and the Greater Region writing to authorities, employers or insurers in Luxembourg, Germany, France or Belgium. Typical delivery is 1–2 business days within Luxembourg and 2–4 to Germany, Belgium and France (not guaranteed).
  • Travellers and digital nomads who need to send a signed letter or a formal notice while on the road.
  • Students and researchers abroad who need to reply to a university, an authority or a landlord by post.

Paying from abroad: currencies and cards

  • Account currency: EUR, USD, GBP or CHF, chosen at sign-up. It cannot be changed after your first payment.
  • Exchange rate: our prices are set in EUR. For USD, GBP and CHF accounts they are converted at the ECB reference rate plus a 12% currency margin, fixed at the moment you pay.
  • Cards: payments are processed by Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other methods Stripe shows, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay where available).
  • Card surcharge: cards issued outside the EEA and UK-issued cards carry a surcharge, shown as a separate line before you pay. Consumer cards issued in the EEA are never surcharged.
  • Prepaid credit: the minimum top-up is CHF 10.00 / €10.00 / £10.00 / US$10.00. You can pay a single letter with a smaller amount for a CHF 0.50 / €0.50 / £0.50 / US$0.50 processing fee; anything you load above the letter price stays as credit for future letters.

Full details are on the pricing page.

Return address and replies

Your letter is printed and posted in Luxembourg. You can print your own return address on the envelope, for example your home address or a contact address; if you leave it empty, we print our company return address.

Because you may be far from your mailbox, include an email address or phone number in the letter so the recipient can contact you quickly. More practical answers are in the FAQ.

Typical delivery times from Luxembourg

Letters paid by 12:00 Luxembourg time on a business day are usually printed and handed to POST Luxembourg the same business day; later orders the next business day. After handover, typical (not guaranteed) delivery times are:

Destination Typical delivery after handover
Luxembourg 1–2 business days
Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands 2–4 business days
Rest of Europe 3–6 business days
Rest of the world 5–15 business days

We cannot influence transit times or customs delays. If a deadline matters, send early and choose registered mail to get a tracking number.

Questions about this

Can I send a letter to my home country while I live abroad?

Yes. You upload the PDF from wherever you are, we print it in Luxembourg, and POST Luxembourg delivers it to the recipient's country. Prices depend on the destination zone; see the pricing page.

Which currency do I pay in?

In your account currency: EUR, USD, GBP or CHF, chosen at sign-up. Prices are set in EUR and converted at the ECB reference rate plus a 12% currency margin, fixed when you pay.

Will my foreign card cost extra?

Cards issued outside the EEA and UK-issued cards carry a surcharge, which is shown as a separate line before you pay. Consumer cards issued in the EEA are never surcharged.

Can I track a letter I send from abroad?

Every letter gets status emails (Paid, In production, Printed, Posted). Registered letters also get a POST Luxembourg tracking number that you can follow on post.lu; standard letters have no tracking.

Do I need a printer or a scanner?

No printer. You need a PDF: most word processors and phones can save a document as PDF, and a scanning app can turn a paper page into one. You can also let an AI assistant compose the letter through our connector; see AI assistants.
